Yvonne Siesling

I’m a researcher at the department of Industrial Design at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences. I have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design and a master’s degree in Health Innovation. I specialize in human-centered research for healthcare-related projects. What appeals most to me is to delve into the wishes and needs of the target groups and to translate these into requirements for an optimized solution.

My role within the Holland Hybrid heart project is to map out how the various target groups view/think about the future soft robotic heart and what the important points of interest are to include in its development.

Holland Hybrid Heart

seeks to create a biocompatible artificial heart using soft robotics and tissue engineering. This innovative heart aims to improve life expectancy and quality of life for heart failure patients while reducing reliance on scarce donor organs.
