Sarah Pichon

As a Textile Engineer focusing on textile production techniques, my role in the HHH project involves exploring and implementing various methods to replicate the hybrid heart. Specifically, I will focus on techniques such as ultrasonic welding, embroidering, circular knitting, and 3D flatbed knitting. By combining the effects of machine parameters, software, and material composition, I aim to optimize the performance of the prototypes.

Holland Hybrid Heart

seeks to create a biocompatible artificial heart using soft robotics and tissue engineering. This innovative heart aims to improve life expectancy and quality of life for heart failure patients while reducing reliance on scarce donor organs.
